Roughly, there are currently more than 100 specific programs for promoting the innovation of companies for different requirements and in different technological sectors. For each particular case, you should discuss the diverse possibilities with us. In the following, you will find a selection of support possibilities for companies’ research and development projects. Where appropriate, these projects can also be realised in cooperation with other companies and research institutes.

BMBF/ diverse project executing organisations

  • earmarked, non-repayable grant
  • directly supports a company’s research/ development for a concrete project that is to be specified, in cooperation with further companies and research institutes
  • at irregular intervals, there are calls for concretely defined subject areas, with fixed deadlines for submission
  • the project volume can amount to several million euros
  • companies have to make own contributions

AiF e.V./ ZIM

  • earmarked, non-repayable grant
  • supports cooperations carried out by companies with other companies or with research institutes
  • supports the 3 to 24 month transfer of R&D personnel between companies or between companies and research institutes in order to work on a R&D project
  • directly supports a company’s research/ development for a concrete project that is to be specified
  • companies have to make own contributions

Deutsche Bundesumweltstiftung (located at Osnabrück, Germany)/ environmental technologies

  • earmarked, non-repayable grant
  • directly supports a company’s research and development activities that reduce the impact on the environment in an ecologically relevant extent
  • companies have to make own contributions

IHK (German Chamber of Commerce and Industry)/ Consulting program for the economy

  • earmarked, non-repayable grant
  • consulting costs for R&D are supported

ZENIT GmbH/ personnel transfer related to innovations

  • earmarked, non-repayable grant
  • personnel costs for so-called innovation assistants are supported
